Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) – Mölnlycke, Sweden

 

Key responsibilities and tasks

Are you a hands-on problem-solver who is passionate about working together with suppliers to deliver top quality products that make a positive impact on people's lives? Then this role is for you.

As an SQE, your main goal is our that our suppliers consistently deliver materials and products that meet our strict quality standards, and thereby secure the overall quality of our respiratory therapy medical devices. You will be a key person in the effort to reach and exceed our supplier quality and delivery targets.

You will work closely with colleagues in R&D, Sourcing, Operations, and QA&RA, and with suppliers, to establish and improve the suppliers’ product quality assurance methods, including control plans, and to develop inspection criteria for essential parts. You will also coordinate, investigate and resolve supplier quality issues through Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR), conduct supplier quality audits and assessments, and provide training and support to help our suppliers understand and meet our quality requirements.

The main categories of parts include printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA), plastic parts and specialized components from suppliers in Europe, China and Americas.

As you will work with both international and local personnel, both spoken and written English and Swedish for professional use are a must. On-site presence in the Mölnlycke facility is required.

Experience you will bring

  • Education on upper secondary level (Swedish “gymnasium”), college or university in technical, engineering, or other relevant field.
  • At least 3 year's relevant experience from production, purchasing or quality control/quality assurance of medical devices or other manufacturing industries with high quality demands.
  • Good command of English and Swedish for professional use, both in writing and verbally.
    Additional languages such as Mandarin, German or Spanish are a plus.
  • You are organized and can work independently to complete your tasks, and follow up that you get needed responses.
  • You are skilled in technical fault analysis and problem solving.
  • You have a hands-on working style and can combine careful attention to detail with efficiency and sense of urgency, to get things done.
  • You can communicate effectively and clearly with suppliers and colleagues internationally, and articulate quality requirements and technical details about quality issues.
  • You have perseverance to drive improvement efforts to completion and not let go until quality expectations have been met.
