We have just launched two new product series within our Vivo range, with a total of seven new ventilator products. These new products enable to be our customers’ preferred choice and the global market leader within the mechanical ventilator product segment.

This exciting position is within our R&D department based at the Breas global headquarters in Mölnlycke, Sweden. Breas Medical is owned by the healthcare group Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. “Fosun Pharma” and traded on the Hong Kong stock exchange.

R&D Director

Key responsibilities and tasks

In the role as R&D Director you will part of Swedish Management Team.

You will lead the R&D work at our Mölnlycke site including personnel leadership and follow up to ensure assigned projects are on plan and fulfilling requirements, quality, timeliness, cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.

You will participate in development and implementation of product plans and technology / product roadmaps for the respective product range in line with overall Breas strategy – to ensure and deliver product portfolio business goals and targets. And drive Stakeholder Management for involvement and commitment, communicate progress and secure quality in project reporting.

You will ensure effectiveness and efficiency in the R&D team in terms of resource utilization and cost management while securing delivery of project milestones.

Lead and develop the Mölnlycke R&D organization with respect to, Product Development, Product support – Manufacturing, Engineering Services – (Product Life Cycle Management, Technical Communication, V&V, EC, Regulatory Standards Compliance, Test Systems, Project Management).

You will be responsible and empowered to make decisions within defined boundaries i.e. scope, objectives and budget in order to achieve the business objectives and deploy resources for assigned projects and activities incl. consultants

You will have continuous interaction with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers. Define the lifecycle management strategy for the portfolio and execute the approved product / lifecycle management strategy.

Key Requirements for the role/ Experience you will bring

• Engineering background in one or more relevant disciplines.
• Leadership/ Team Management, team building, organizational development.
• Project Management – Drive for results: Can be counted on to meet goals successfully.
• Ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing, and quality of outcomes.
• Compliance Management – Ensure quality and regulatory requirements are fulfilled acc. to QMS
• Problem-solving skills in combination with curiosity, interest, and engagement.
• Ability to drive and implement change and continuous improvement - Lesson learnt, increase project efficiency, process development.
• Speaking and writing fluent in Swedish and English.
