This position is within our R&D department based at the Breas global headquarter in Mölnlycke, Sweden. Breas Medical is owned by healthcare group Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd..

The Software Engineer is responsible for

Technical ownership of design and development of system software for new products and maintenance of software in the existing Breas product line. You will own, plan, coordinate and execute software development activities in projects and subprojects. You will also be responsible for documentation, ensuring design controls according to requirements and providing expertise in software design and development including investigating new technologies.

What you will do

Lead and participate in projects and activities to develop new or improve existing products. Take technical ownership and responsibility of your tasks. You will develop software according to the standards given by the Breas design controls procedure, participate in technical reviews, and contribute to technical discussions. You will also investigate defects and deviations in product and design. You will carry out your tasks in an independent manner but always be part of a multi-disciplinary team. Participate in the work and actively propose changes to the quality management procedures and work instructions related to software development.

You like to work with an open mindset, often out of the box and you are a skilled problem solver. You are used to work in a project and/or team, you have high communication and documentation skills. Have an attitude to take responsibility for own tasks, competences and beyond. Curiosity, interested with high engagement and ability to work cross-functionally. Speaking & writing fluent in Swedish and English. The company language is English, but Swedish is the language in our Mölnlycke office where this role is located.

Experience and education

  • Software design experience of minimum five years
  • Embedded design development experience
  • Extensive experience of C/C++ for embedded system (C-sharp)
  • Experience in working with tools as Gerrit, Jenkins and Git
  • Design and verification testing
  • Masters, Bachelors degree or equivalent with focus on computer science or similar
