You will be joining Breas at a very exciting stage of our journey. With the recent launch of two new product series within our Vivo range, with a total of seven new ventilator products, and new projects to start we are in a strong growing phase. These new products enable us in our strive to be our customers preferred choice and the global market leader within the mechanical ventilator product segment.

This position is within our R&D department based at the Breas global headquarter in Mölnlycke, Sweden. Breas Medical is owned Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an embedded software design engineer with experience of C/C++. We want and expect you to take the teachnical leadership in design and development of system software for new projects as well as continuous improvement of software in the existing Breas product line. You will lead, plan, coordinate and execute software development activities in projects and subprojects. Also ensuring design controls according to Breas requirements. You will provide expertise in software design and development including investigating new technologies as part of a team.

You will be providing technical guidance to other software engineers and propose new technical solutions in order to meet customer needs. Ensuring technical, quality and regulatory compliance towards Breas processes is a part of your daily job as well as ensure software development process improvements. Participate in technical reviews and contribute to technical discussions.

You will be working closely with system teams in requirements gathering and software design, participate and drive continuous improvement activities by supporting the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives. Also investigate defects and deviations in products & design. Contribute in the IP generation work by filling invention reports, patent applications and secure FTO for new concepts and products.

This is you

You work with an open mindset, often out of the box, and are a skilled problem solver. Of course with project or teamwork experience, high communication and documentation skills. Speaking & writing fluent in Swedish and English. Since our company language is English and Swedish at our Mölnlycke office where this role is located. You have an attitude to take responsibility for your own tasks, competences and beyond. You are curious, work with high engagement and enjoys working cross-functionally.

Experience and education

  • MSc or BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Software design experience >5 years
  • Extensive experience of C/C++ for embedded systems
  • Embedded design development experience
  • Knowledge in software development tools
  • Design and verification testing
