Our new products enable us in our aim to be our customers preferred choice and the global market leader within the mechanical ventilator product segment.
This position is within our R&D department based at the Breas global headquarter in Mölnlycke, Sweden. Breas Medical is owned by the Chinese healthcare group Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. that is traded on the Hong Kong stock exchange.
Description of the role
In the role as Electrical Design Engineer you will design new ventilator products and also support the installed base products, in at least one or more of the following domains: analog and digital design, power systems, RF design, EMC.
You will engage in all phases of new product introduction and development, including concept, specification, architecture, documentation, design, prototyping, test, risk analysis, manufacturing transfer and service support. This also involves being in contact with sub-suppliers.
Maintenance and support of installed base products in accordance with customer needs and quality-system requirements are also an important part of the job. You will have continuous interaction with Production and Technical support and take part in technical investigations and continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities of the role:
Be responsible for the system design and detailed design.
Participate in the design of the overall electrical architecture.
Perform component selection and design for use in compliance with regulatory and standard requirements and safety.
Consider thermal and reliability considerations for operation of electronics.
Provide expertise in electrical engineering and investigate new technology.
Write specifications, perform impact analysis and participate in risk analysis.
