Director Global Engineering

Role Summary/Purpose

As a Director of Engineering you will be responsible of leading our R&D team in Mölnlycke and be over all responsible for our R&D projects.

This responsibility demands a strong background in leading projects and teams in complex software, hardware and mechanical design.

You will work in a global environment in close co-operation with our R&D team in Boston.

You will be part of and leading a team of competent and experienced members, where the work is characterized by commitment and high sense of teamwork.

  

A day at work

  • Participate in planning with commercial and management team around our product strategy and product development plan
  • Leading the work from a day to day bases at our Mölnlycke site
  • Follow up that our projects are on plan and fulfilling requirements
  • Daily personnel leadership
  • Budget responsibility
  • Part of Swedish management team
  • Installed base/production engineering support

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software/hardware engineering, computer science.
  • 5+ years in leading teams and projects in a Medical Device environment
  • Strong background in system design, leading projects from start to end
  • Strong leadership profile
  • Both a doer and a leader
  • Experience from working in a global environment
