Description of the role: Electronics Design Engineer

In the role as Electronics Design Engineer you will design new ventilator products and also support the installed base products, in at least one or more of the following domains: analog and digital design, power systems, RF design, EMC.

You will engage in all phases of new product introduction and development, including concept, specification, architecture, documentation, design, prototyping, test, risk analysis, manufacturing transfer and service support. This also involves being in close contact with sub-suppliers.

Maintenance and support of installed base products in accordance with customer needs and quality-system requirements are also an important parts of the job. You will have continuous interaction with Production and Technical support and take part in technical investigations and continuous improvement activities.

 

Responsibilities of the role:

Be responsible for overall electronics architecture, system design and detailed design.
Perform component selection and design for use in compliance with regulatory and standard requirements and safety.
Consider thermal and reliability considerations for operation of electronics.
Be the expert in electronics engineering and investigate new technology.
Write specifications and participate in risk analysis.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

Engineering degree from technical university (BSc) or similar with focus on electronic design.
• Electronics design experience of minimum 5 years.
• Knowledge of electronic CAD systems and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of Medical Device industry and relevant standards (e.g. IEC 60601).
• EMC compatible design/solution experience
• Experience from working with embedded product development
• Good documentation and communication skills
